Ref Union Assignors
Ref Union was founded by Chris Balasinski, a junior college and former NBA Development League official residing in Newport Beach, California. Chris is entering his 10th season of working varsity high school basketball, his 8th year working college basketball, and he spent the 2012-2013 season in the NBA Development League (now known as the G-League). He has a B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Society, with minors in Philosophy and Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.
He later received his J.D. from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.

Along with Chris, the Ref Union is comprised of a collection of assignors all of whom are committed to the representation of their respective officiating crews.
