In case you are not fan of social media (and many of our members share your sentiment), a majority of our updates concerning upcoming tournaments, new accounts, or general posts concerning officiating will be copied here within a few hours of their original posting on our Facebook page.

We still encourage you to "Like" and "Follow" our Facebook page to get these posts as soon as they come in and to participate in the many excellent discussions we share with other members and referees nationwide.  We also have a YouTube channel in development and our founder, Chris Balasinski, maintains a Instagram account that is not solely about officiating, but offers a glimpse into the private life of our busy assignor.

NCAA Season Begins!

November 4, 2017

With the college season starting nationwide, there are a few things you have to start getting used to...the shot clock, wearing a lanyard, remembering your jacket, parking pass, doing the laundry (much more frequently), confirming with partners on the night before, etc. Little things that separate the regular season from the casual nature of the off-season, where you can just grab some shorts and go.

But I had a great time last night with two fellow Foxes in Jeff Arredondo and Lateef Smith, and then seeing Damon Bolin and Tyler Painter come in for the game after. I look forward to working with more Union members down the road!
