In case you are not fan of social media (and many of our members share your sentiment), a majority of our updates concerning upcoming tournaments, new accounts, or general posts concerning officiating will be copied here within a few hours of their original posting on our Facebook page.

We still encourage you to "Like" and "Follow" our Facebook page to get these posts as soon as they come in and to participate in the many excellent discussions we share with other members and referees nationwide.  We also have a YouTube channel in development and our founder, Chris Balasinski, maintains a Instagram account that is not solely about officiating, but offers a glimpse into the private life of our busy assignor.

Rugby Officials Learning from the NBA

September 11, 2017

Moving on to Monday. I want to first thank everybody for all the condolences, offers to help, and the stories and memories about Chasin that you shared with me all weekend. Rest assured that as long as I'm the head of Gray Fox, we will continue to honor his memory in all that we do on and off the court.

More information about the memorial service will be made available on Thursday.

Meanwhile, let's start the new week with something upbeat: a great article about what the NRL (rugby) admires about the structure of the NBA — how they support their officials through emphasis on teamwork and trust, giving them the confidence to continue to perform at the highest level.
