NFHS Catches Up to Two-Hand Mechanics

May 11, 2017

I have two thoughts on this:

1) The new school of officials have been using two-hand mechanics to report fouls for the last decade for precisely the reasons the article states. It is more clear in addition to just looking better. It is about damn time that NFHS catches up with what officials have been doing on the courts anyway.

That said, 2) I'm kind of going to miss the old coots telling me, "You need to follow the mechanics book, Chris! Two-hands is not high school!" It was fun to be a rebel.

Hopefully within the two years, NFHS will finally approve the loose-ball mechanic. Until then, stay ahead of the curve, fellow Foxes!
