LeBron James Fouls Out Vs. the Hawks in OT
This loose-ball foul to disqualify LeBron James may have been the biggest of the game. You can see LeBron with two hands on the back of Paul Millshap before the rebound caromed in their direction. The layman may complain, "come on, that is a soft call!" But players know that it doesn't take much contact to keep a guy from jumping and competing for the ball. Just a slight push, shifting a player's entire center of gravity, and he is taken out of the play. Whether LeBron did it purposefully, being the crafty player that he is, or not, it still had to be called.
Lastly, a lot of heat went on LeRoy Richardson for making the call as the Trail. But look closely — there is a double-whistle on this play, the second coming from Bill Kennedy as the Lead.
The NBA Two-Minute report marked it as a Correct Call.
